App to Replace Countless Chats.
Flate.
After designing the logo, I was approached to redesign the application. Unfortunately, I cannot showcase the old version, as there wasn't even a Figma mockup; everything was coded on the fly. The result—a redesign a year after launch.
Introduction.
Flate is a professional tool for modern real estate agents, providing a convenient platform for publishing and searching verified listings from colleagues. The main goal of the project is to replace numerous messenger chats and avoid unreliable listings on popular aggregators, ensuring the relevance and reliability of information through mandatory moderation.
Task Definition.
My task was to develop an intuitive and functional mobile application interface that meets the needs of real estate agents. The main objectives included:
Creating a user-friendly process for posting and searching listings.
Ensuring quick navigation and filtering of offers.
Integrating automatic landing page generation from listings.
Developing an adaptive design for iOS and Android platforms.
Work Process.
Research.
I conducted an analysis of the target audience, identifying the main needs and pain points of real estate agents when working with existing tools. Studied competitive applications to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
Currently, the service is developing in Sochi, as the local real estate market is unique, and such a service was necessary. Why?
In Sochi, traditional aggregators and listing boards "don't work." Dishonest agencies clutter searches with fake listings to lure clients. This hampers the secondary market, as the chance of encountering a fake is over 50%. As a result, reputable agents have moved to chats for secondary market exchanges
Design.
Developed the application's information architecture, ensuring logical and consistent navigation.
Created prototypes of key screens, considering usage scenarios and user needs.
Visual Design.
Defined the app's style, combining modern minimalism with a professional aesthetic suited to the real estate sector. Selected a color palette and typography to ensure comfortable information perception.
Testing.
Conducted usability testing with real estate agents, obtaining valuable feedback.
Implemented necessary changes and improvements based on testing results.
Conclusions.
Working on the Flate project allowed me to deepen my knowledge in mobile application UI/UX design and understand the specific needs of professionals in the real estate sector. The experience confirmed the importance of close interaction with end-users and continuous product improvement based on their feedback.
